As the first ocean-going vessel for Scenic, Scenic Eclipse is the latest ship to join the fleet. Boasting a six-star luxury experience, much like the other vessels, there are plenty of cruising firsts to enhance your experience and make that sailing ever so special.
After completing her inaugural sailing, she has earned herself a large audience who are invested to try the ‘most luxurious vessel at sea’. Here is what you can expect from Scenic Eclipse and where she is planning to sail in her 2019/20 season.
With a maximum capacity of 228 passengers, you will be surprised to hear that there are 10 different dining venues on board this small, luxury vessel. These include: the poolside grill Yacht Club; Teppanyaki at Koko’s; contemporary, French fine-dining at Lumière; relaxing, all-day dining at Azure Bar & Café; a 24-hour, comprehensive menu straight to your suite door; the main Italian restaurant, Elements; fan-favourite Chef’s Table; and Asian fusion cuisine and Japanese Sushi at Koko’s.
To complement the splendid dining options on board, there is a handful of elegant lounges around the ship too. They showcase everything from lavish décor to large panoramic windows, carefully positioned to allow guests to see the spectacular ocean views.
Unlike most ocean-going vessels, Scenic Eclipse is hosting an extensive itinerary exploring many popular tourist destinations, including Barcelona, Athens, Miami, New York City, Panama, Venice, Dubrovnik, Reykjavik and Amsterdam. There are also some more remote destinations too, including Antarctica, Lima and Cuba, which are perfect for wildlife adventures.
With innovative features on board, Scenic Eclipse has taken shore excursions to a new level. The two state-of-the-art Airbus EC-130-T2 helicopters are a unique way to explore isolated regions. Able to take up to six passengers, for up to four hours, with a maximum altitude of 7,010 metres, there is no other way to experience the world in luxury.
For guests who would prefer to stay closer to the ground, there is a fleet of zodiacs and kayaks waiting to help you seek out the hidden gems of the ocean and watch how marine life thrives below. Lastly, Scenic Eclipse has a state-of-the-art submarine too. Scenic Neptune is a U-Boat Worx Cruise Submarine that has been modified to give guests crystal clear underwater views. Able to dive to a staggering 300 metres and take up to six passengers, this is the best way to see marine life up-close and personal.
All 114 suites are outward-facing and range from the generous 32-square-metre Veranda suites to the spacious 247-metre two-bedroom penthouse suites. Each also features its own private veranda with options to dine in the sun or look out at stunning views. For ultimate luxury, the Senses Spa boasts 550-square-metres of pure tranquillity where guests can try the latest treatments in the hands of expert masseuses.
Sticking to their all-inclusive message, you will also be treated to your own personal butler, who will be on-hand to make your journey extra special; unlimited complimentary beverages; and the option to dine at all 10 restaurants on board with no added supplements. Scenic is also dedicated to giving their guests the most authentic experiences with exclusive moments and opportunities that are inaccessible to the ordinary traveller. Some of these experiences include local meals out, cultural dances and visiting off-the-beaten-track locations.
