Star Clipper and Star Flyer are modern cruise ships in every way, created for passengers who love the traditions and romance of the legendary era of sailing ships. They are both 115 metres long and each carries just 170 guests in pampered comfort. Life onboard is blissfully relaxed, much like travelling on a private yacht. You'll never feel confined onboard.
Star Clipper and her sister ship Star Flyer boasts a traditional four-masted sailing ship design. Offering modern cruising facilities that will please passengers from all over the world, they have a distinctly luxury feel despite their smaller size.
The Clipper Dining Room is the only restaurant onboard the ship. Serving breakfast from 8-10am, lunch between 12-2pm, and à la carte dinner from 7.30-10pm. Guests are free to dine when and with whomever they wish - including with the officers, who join guests in the dining room most nights.
Enrichment onboard Star Clipper is done via classes about sailing-related topics. The Captain's daily briefing on deck is wonderfully informative, and a chance to hear some great storytelling as well.
You are free to do as you wish with your days - and evenings. To entertain you at certain ports, locals are brought onboard to give passengers an authentic taste of the local music and arts.
The Captain and crew are superb improvisers of the kind of light-hearted fun you'll only find on Star Clippers.
There are other events and activities, such as the hilarious crab racing contest, that have evolved from Star Clippers' sailing heritage.
With Star Clipper, guests have the opportunity to enjoy some watersports such as snorkelling and kayaking.
Children are welcome onboard Star Clippers cruises. While there is no structure programme providing supervision and care for young children, they are invited to participate in shipboard activities suited to their ability.
