Our favourite cruise ship...
My favourite ship is P&O Cruises' Ventura. I was fortunate enough to experience her even before her inaugural cruise in 2008, and I still vividly remember the thrill of seeing her for the first time at Southampton port. Since then, Ventura has been part of many special moments in my life — we’ve celebrated our wedding anniversary onboard, and I marked my 40th birthday cruising with family.
Ventura truly feels like home to me. The atmosphere onboard is warm, cosy, and welcoming, with a friendly vibe that makes every journey memorable. One of my favourite voyages was in December, when the ship was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations — it felt magical.
There’s something for everyone on Ventura. From diverse dining options and top-notch entertainment to engaging activities for all ages, boredom simply isn’t an option. I’ve made countless happy memories aboard this ship, and for that reason, she will always be my number one.

The list is endless! We’re cruising the Caribbean this year, which means we’ll be ticking off a few dream destinations along the way.
Looking further afield, an Alaska cruise is high on my wish list. I’d love to combine the cruise with a land tour — experiencing the breath-taking glaciers from the ship, then venturing into the wild beauty of Denali National Park. It would be the perfect blend of adventure and awe.
