Having spent most of my career as a Chartered Accountant, I decided it was time to inject a bit of fun into peoples’ lives. I came to GoCruise & Travel with a passion for cruising, and eye for detail and a fair dose of travel savvy having built my own trips for a number of years. My favourite destinations...
I’d like to say all of them! In reality if I had a selection of holiday brochures I’d gravitate to the Northern Europe and Scandinavia ones. Those who aren’t bothered about topping up their tans and love walking and nature would love the fjords – it’s like a postcard that moves with you every day! This is where the knowledge of our Norwegian sister company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines really comes into its own as our captains really know the area.
For those wanting a bit more culture, cuisine and shopping the Baltic Capitals such as Copenhagen or Stockholm are a must – with a cruise you can take in far much more at your own pace than a land based tour. Scandinavia has a reputation for being expensive and a cruise can really help you budget yet see the sights!
What is next on my wish list?
We are agents for the lovely sailing ships of Star Clippers fleet and I’d like to try one of the Mediterranean trips from Venice to Rome. Imagine sailing out of Venice in full sail!
