My favourite cruise ship..

This is a difficult question to answer as I have ‘favourites’ dependent on the type of holiday that I’m after.  If I’m going on a multi-generation holiday then I would choose a resort style ship like the Norwegian Getaway. This ship offer lots of activities on board to keep all members of the family happy from thrilling waterparks / sports centres to varied entertainment venues and 21 different restaurants to full-service spas.

If I’m wanting a romantic or destination specific holiday, then I will look at cruise lines like Azamara or Oceania Cruises who offer destination immersive itineraries with a refined luxury experience on board.

Next on my wish list is...

A self-drive holiday through the Canadian Rockies is next on the travel wish-list. Starting with a stay in Calgary to visit the world famous Calgary Stampede, I plan to drive through the Rockies visiting the national parks of Banff, Jasper and Yoho

to take in the beautiful mountain scenery, crystal-clear lakes, soaring glaciers, hot springs and abundance of wildlife; such as elk, moose bighorn sheep and bears. All mixed together with plentiful outdoor activities like biking, hiking, canoeing and rafting.
